Full Description
1998. Found in a load of gravel delivered to an allottment at South Wootton.
Origin of load unknown. A. Rogerson (NLA) suggests it cannot have come far.
Late Macedonian type follis of copper, facing bust of Christ on obverse, four line inscription on the reverse: IHSUS KRISTUS BASILEU BASILE (Jesus Christ King of Kings).
Date 980-1080.
