Summary

Manor Cottage was built in the 16th to 17th centuries and refaced in 19th century. At some point it was subdivided, but it has since been returned to a single property. This timber-framed building has partial brick cladding, and the façade has 19th century openings with shutters with imitation Decorated style features.

February 1991. Listed, Grade II.
Formerly subdivided now one house again. 16th - 17th century, refaced 19th century. Timber-frame part brick clad. Two cell plan iwth added cell. Facade has 19th century openings; shutters have tops imitating Decorated style. Stack to shared gable with three lozenge shafts. Left hand ground floor room has ovolo moulded beam. Timber frame at rear; arched braces to wallplate. Butt purlins and windbraces. 'Right hand end had complete timber frame and coupled rafter roof' - this suggests previous comments refer only to left hand end.

Photographs supplied very much give the impression that this could be a hall house with added parlour, cell and stack, but the latter being unusually two bays long.
