April to July 1999. Archaeological excavation and watching brief, Brisley to Bushy Common Pipeline. Site 7.
A scatter of Late Neolithic or Bronze Age flint, possibly indicating occupation activity, was recovered during the archaeological watching brief along the Transco Brisley to Bushy Common pipeline, and is recorded as Site No. 7. It is located in the field to the north-east of Home Farm, Beetley, in a field that had been unavailable for fieldwalking during the pre-construction survey.
The geophysical anomoly at the northern end of the field (above) was found to correspond with a recently removed field boundary. Others to the south corresponded with an area of probable alluvial deposition and another probable post-medieval boundary (NHER 34116)
See (S2) for details.
