Summary
Pot boilers were found in this area during 1998. These could be from a prehistoric burnt mound, although it is difficult to tell as a river tunnel constructed on the site during the 19th century may have resulted in considerable ground disturbance. A thick and extensive burnt flint deposit recorded approximately 60m to the east in 2016 is though almost certainly the remains of burnt mound (see NHER 67190).

Full Description
December 1998. Casual Observation.
Pot boilers found in mole hills in pasture.
Note however site as marked includes the air shaft of the river tunnel constructed in the 19th century which presumably led to considerable ground disturbance.
