Summary

A Bronze Age worked flint tool, together with Roman, Middle Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery fragments were recovered during an earthwork identification survey in 1999.

February 1999. Context 2 at Grid Reference TL9474 8693. Height OD. 29m.
During earthwork rapid identification survey of de-stumped areas.
Two sherds of pottery were found at the grid reference above in an area of patches of bare soil in area already replanted.
One rim sandy Ipswich Ware, slightly burnt.
One base sherd gritty Roman greyware. Report (S1) in file.
Identified by A. Rogerson (NLA).
