Map

1999.
Lava Quernstone fragment.
Cut pentagonal querstone, shallow dishing on lower surface with races of dressing, upper surface domed with central depression. Edges appear to have been cut or ground to give flat facets forming a freely regular pentagon approximately 115mm across. The profile of the lowed surface suggests that, if circular, the original diameter cannot have been greater than 125mm. Possibly an unfinished quernstone which has been reused for some unknown purpose. Not dateable.
P. A. Robins (NCM) 22 March 1999.

Earlier 1999. Metal detecting. Field 1119
One post medieval coin.
Medieval/post medieval knife cap and very odd late medieval buckle.
A. Rogerson (NLA) 31 December 1999.
