Summary

This farmhouse dates to 1642 and is constructed from a repaired and underbuilt timber frame with visible wallposts and wallplate. It has two storeys and an attic, with the entrance positioned centrally. There is a pentise along the length of the façade and small blocked windows with hoodmoulds in the gable walls. This property was said to have been a Quaker Meeting House in the late 17th century. In 1999 a wall painting of 'blank verse prayer' was found behind six layers of wallpaper in the bathroom.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"Farmhouse dated 1642 in vitrified headers on north gable. Repaired and underbuilt timber frame with visible wallposts and wallplate. Returned brick and gable ends. Two storeys and attic, three bay frame. Central doorframe, ovolo and ogee moulded with large stops. Original ovolo mullioned windows with metal casements."
