Neolithic polished flint axe.
A good example of a well made implement.
It is of thin butted type, polished all over with a few concavities remaining from the initial flaking.
Made of good quality grey flint and in good, fresh condition apart from one recent flake and a little edge damage on the cutting end, probably caused by the plough.
Identified J. Wymer (NAU) 15 February 1990.
E. Rose (NLA) 19 May 1999.
