Summary

This late 17th century house is of brick and pantile and has a main facade of six bays in two storeys, with a cellar to the right. The window sashes have exposed boxes of around 1740 and inside there is an ornate staircase with turned balusters and a marble fireplace. There may be the remains of a barn in front of the house.

Full Description

October 1960. Listed, Grade II.
Late 17th century house, brick and pantile. Double range. Main facade six bays, two storeys, cellar to right. Shaped gables with stacks. Front has moulded brick platband and oversailng gables: flat canopy to door, bands of coloured brick between bays. Sash windows. Left hand gable in Flemish garden wall bond. Rear elevation has pile of this bond to left, rear of front range to right in flint with rusticated brick quoins. Interior has ornate staircase and marble fireplace.
