Summary

In the 1950s an early post medieval finger ring was found during the construction of flood defences. It is a betrothal ring of a girl aged 12.

Mid to late 1950s. Found during construction of flood defences 'about 300 yards below the now new bridge' (presumably this means the new bridge now is at 30 inches deep).
