Summary

Fieldwalking in 1999 recovered Mesolithic/Early Neolithic, Late Neolithic and undatable prehistoric (but potentially Late Bronze Age/Iron Age) worked flints and Roman and medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds. A large number of relatively unworn oyster shells were also identified; these most likely introduced along with manuring waste during the post-medieval period.
