Summary

Orwell House was constructed of red brick around 1740, with a front block of 1820. This two-storey build has five bays with a central door in a pedimented doorcase.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House. c.1740. Front block added 1820. Red brick, pantiled roof.
Exterior: two storeys in five-window range….Doorcase with pilasters, block entablatures and open pediment. Panelled reveals and soffit...Platband at first floor. Dentil eaves cornice. Gabled roof with internal gable-end stacks north and south. Tumbling in gable heads. Rear wing of two storeys and dormer attic. Interior: not inspected."
