Map

December 1999. Field Observation.
Trapezoidal enclosure shown on OS maps.
2000. Visited.
A banked outline about 0.5m high was noted, with traces of an external ditch.
The Southern boundary has the base of a flint wall within the low bank, and a probably modern boundary post (number 25) near is eastern end.
Inside the enclosure are further banks sub-dividing the central/east portion into yards and possible building outlines. Seen as overgrown and degraded earthworks. Probable stock enclosure, sheep fold and poor preservation suggests 19th century or earlier.
L shaped bank in west is part of a tree enclosure shown on early OS maps.
Sketch plot in file.
B. Cushion (NLA) 11 January 2000.

February 2011. Norfolk NMP.
The site was confirmed as a likely post medieval stock enclosure on aerial photographs (S1-S3), and as its location was already recorded and it is visible on historic maps, it was not mapped. A previously unrecorded enclosure was visible 368 m to the south (NHER 54593).
