Summary

Metal detecting in 1998 recovered an Iron Age/Roman brooch of the Colchester Type. This rather plain example survived in good condition although the pin was missing.

1998. Metal detecting.
Iron Age/Roman. One piece Colchester brooch, fairly complete but missing pin and half of spring; catchplate fragmentary. The wings are short and narrow and rectangular in section; in the centre is a forward facing hook. The bow is of rather flat section and undecorated. Late Iron Age or Roman.
