Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 1997 and 2024 recovered Roman and pottery sherds; Roman and medieval coins; medieval jettons; a post-medieval token and a range of other, undated and Middle Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated copper alloy probable nail; a Middle Bronze Age palstave fragment; a Roman key; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories (including a medieval silver brooch); a medieval box mount and lead seal matrix; a medieval/post medieval candlestick socket, spoon, scabbard chape, thimble or sewing ring and lead weights and a post-medieval book clasp, spoon and copper alloy seal matrix.
