Summary

Several prehistoric flint blades found on the grass bank at the edge of the Whitlingham Lane car park. These may be Mesolithic or Early Neolithic.

2000. Stray Find.
Worked flints found on two occasions on grass bank of Whitlingham Lane car park. These finds were donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2001.231.1.1) and are described in the museum's records as 5 flint blades (length 32-47mm), 4 with heavy white patina. No date has been suggested for these flints, although their condition may indicate they are Mesolithic/Early Neolithic.
