Summary

Metal detecting here in 1998 recovered an early post medieval flat circular lead 4oz weight. This was stamped on one face with four circular indentations a crowned IR (for James I or II) and the arms of Norwich.

H. M. Geake (NCM) identified:
Early post medieval flat circular lead 4oz weight, stamped on one face with four circular indentations (nine for 4oz) a crowned IR (for James I or II) and the arms of Norwich. Now weights 106g (3.7oz). 1603-1625 or 1685-1688.
