Summary

Metal detecting in 1996 and 2005 recovered Roman and Early Saxon brooches, a Late Saxon bridle cheek piece, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval coins and a post medieval button and thimble. The Late Saxon coin is heavily marked and may be a 10th century German penny of a comparatively rare type. In addition a melted mess of hammered coins were found. These were unidentifiable but are probably medieval or post medieval.
