Summary

A Roman tile, fragments of Early Saxon pottery, part of a medieval buckle, and a fragment of lead from a post medieval window were found when a ditch was cleared.

Fragment of probably Roman tile.
Early Saxon body sherd, reduced core, reddish exterior, brownish interior face, sandy.
Fragment of fired clay from daub wall or oven.
Incomplete medieval buckle plate, attachment end only, with 2 rivet holes at edge and one originally central rivet hole gilded but no other decoration.
Fragment of early post medieval lead window came. Barton Bendish type E.
