Full Description
1998. Metal detecting. Field 501. [1].
Roman glass centre boss brooch, oval in shape, with central stone missing. Wide border shows traces of gilding. Pin spring and catchplate on reverse. Compare to (S1).

Early Saxon mount in the form of a facing male mask (S3).
1 medieval coin, buckles, strap ends, belt mounts, strap loops, thimbles, a pendent mount for suspension of purse, end-cap for whittle-tang knife, probable dagger scabbard chape, suspension unit or holder for a lamp or censer and fragmentary cosmetic set comprising incomplete tweezers, earscoop and toothpick.
Medieval/post-medieval copper alloy stud, unidentified copper alloy object and writing lead.
Post-medieval buttons, a hooked tag, pendent sword-belt fitting, hooked attachment for spur leather and probable keyhole cover from box or casket.

18 medieval buckles, 7 bar mounts, 4 strap ends, 3 belt mounts, a strap loop, two-way strap distributor, 2 mirror case fragments, a leash swivel, book fitting, unidentified copper alloy unidentified object (with gilding and engraved and pecked dot decoration on one face) and 2 lead weights.
2 medieval/post-medieval purse frame fragments and a spur rowel.
Post-medieval buckle, hooked tag, harness mount, jew's harp and crotal bell.
