Summary

Metal-detecting between 1999 and 2022 recovered an Early Neolithic flint blade; a Neolithic flint flake; Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; undatable copper alloy and lead casting waste; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval jettons; post-medieval tokens and a range of other, undated and Early Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undated unidentified copper alloy object; an Early Saxon cruciform brooch; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval casket key, furniture fitting or harness mount, probable leash swivel, lead weight or spindle whorl and lead ampulla; a medieval/post-medieval ring-type thimble, copper alloy vessel fragments, writing leads, lead weight and monumental brass fragments and post-medieval belt or harness mounts, book mounts, a book clasp, harness mount, furniture mount, bell clapper, coin weight, pastry jigger, copper alloy trade weight and lead cloth seal.
