Summary

Metal detecting in 1999 and 2000 recovered a number of late medieval and post medieval objects, including buckles, a button and a jetton.

Undatable unidentifiable object, perhaps modern.
Post medieval lead button, probably 17th or 18th century.

Early post medieval Rose/orb jetton issued in Nuremberg by Wolf Lauffer I (working 1554-1601).
Obverse: rose with three lis and three crowns around, with legend reading WVLF+LAVFER+IN+NVRNBE.
Reverse: orb in trefoil, with legend reading +GOT+ALEIN+DIE+EHR+VND (the crosses are more like little quatrefoils).

H. Geake (NLA) Identifying:
1) medieval incomplete spur buckle. Part of the oval or circular frame is missing, and also the terminal of the integral plate. The plate tapers and has a pin hole and rivet hole at the wider end, three transverse mouldings in the centre, and an expanded terminal broken at a rivet hole.
2) post medieval two buckle plates from late 17th or early 18th century shoe buckles.
