Summary

Three separate watching briefs carried out on White Hart Street during the development of new houses recorded three modern pits. Fragments of medieval and post medieval pottery, two 17th century buttons, a Charles I coin and a 16th century spur buckle were found.

Full Description

May 2000. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of various groundworks.
No features found, with only a deep topsoil exposed.
15th- to 20th-century pottery recovered.

Late 2001. Observation of footings for house to west of previously observed plot.
No significant archaeological deposits, feature, structures or finds.
