Full Description
May to June 1999. Metal detecting. [1] rally site.
A large pin from a medieval annular brooch was recovered, with a broken loop and rectangular section shaft. There is transverse moulding at the junction of the shaft and the loop and the tip is cut away so that it can sit nicely on the brooch frame. Length 52mm. Probably 14th century.
K. Hinds (NLA), 8 March 2000.
