Full Description
December 1999 to January 2000. Metal detecting.
An undatable lead ball with a perforation through the centre was recovered. This item may be a weight or a spindle whorl. It weighs 27.83g (0.9815 of an ounce) and therefore could possibly be a medieval one ounce weight.
K. Hinds (NLA), 12 April 2000.
