Map

Site of windmill (wind pump?)
Not shown on (S1), but appearance on (S2). Removed at that Enclosure.
See (S3).
E. Rose (NLA), 26 April 2000.

The location of this site has been altered from TG 4301 2341 to TG 4330 2337.

March 2005. Norfolk NMP.
The windmill marked on the pre-enclosure map of Hickling reproduced in (S3) would place the structure further to the east at approximately TG 4330 2337. This location coincides with a small parcel of land marked on the 1842 Hickling Tithe map (S4), suggesting the location of a former building. No sign of the windmill was identified at this location during the NMP mapping.
S. Massey (NMP), 29 March 2005.
