Full Description
Marked as disused lime kiln on map of 1883.
The name Ketts Cave was originally applied to a small tunnel in the north face of the pit but this name dates from after 1883 and cannot have any connection with Kett! It is now fenced off and the whole former pit known as Ketts Cave Playground. No trace of kiln.
E. Rose (NLA), 18 August 2000.
