Summary

This is the site of two windmills on a map of 1838, and one on the 1884 map. The 1884 map also shows several brick kilns. By late 19th century these had been replaced by one Hoffman kiln and the brick pits had removed the sites of the windmills. After World War Two the site changed use to a gravel pit but the kiln remained until the 1960s.
