Summary

Metal-detecting in 2000 recovered an early post-medieval belt or harness mount, while metal-detecting between 2007 and 2013 recovered a dispersed Late Bronze Age hoard, containing at least 45 items. In addition, a Roman coin, a medieval purse bar, a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel foot or handle and other post-medieval items were found.

Late Bronze Age hoard containing 31 objects including spearheads, sword fragments, socketed axes, socketed knives, tanged knife, socketed gouge, double-ended implement, cake and "cap-mounting" (cf. Reach, Cambridgeshire, Inv. Archaeol. (1956), GB 17 no. 30), medieval purse bar and post medieval sword belt fitting.

This hoard was submitted as potential Treasure, along with a number of additional items recovered between February and March 2008 - see below.
