January 2000. Trial Trench.
Evaluation trenching revealed only post medieval layers and walls.
Contexts 1 to 31.

2000-2001. Excavations, Watching Briefs and Building Surveys.
Archaeological work undertaken during substantial renovations and alterations to Nos 63/65 and 64 The Close.
Discoveries include 16th century wall paintings in number 65, the Cathedral Priory 'Great Drain' and clay pipe and figurine mould fragments.
