Map

2 July 1996. NLA aerial photography.
Site of possible ring ditch, producing a faint cropmark response, however it is situated within an area of heavy geological patterning, of which it may be part.
S. Massey (NLA), 8 May 2001.

July 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a possible ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs (S1). The grid reference for this cropmark has been amended from TM 3460 9307 to TM 3460 9309. The ring ditch is sub-circular to sub-oval in plan with a narrow ditch and a maximum external diameter of 25m. A possible gap is present in the south side of the ring ditch, but as the whole cropmark is very faint it is not clear if this is a deliberate entrance. It is possible that this ring ditch relates to a Bronze Age round barrow and that it forms part of a barrow cemetery (NHER 44844). It is located on a south facing slope at approximately 19m OD.
J. Albone (NMP), 10 July 2006.
