Full Description
10 July 1996. NLA air photography.
Single ring ditch visible on edge of plantation.
Could be prehistoric or woodland/plantation boundary feature.
M. Brennand (NLA), 26 September 2001.
February 2011. Norfolk NMP.
Assessment of the above references oblique aerial photographs (S1) and other vertical aerial photographs as part of the NMP mapping in this area revealed no convincing trace of a ring ditch at this location. It is felt that the circular ring ditch-like cropmark, with a darker interior, relates to a part of the adjacent tree belt that has been removed. Other sections of the northern edge of this belt also appear to have a circular profile.
S. Horlock (NMP), 17 Feb. 11 2011.
