Full Description
27 July 1994. NLA air photography.
Single ring ditch visible.
Unfortunately Hautbois Road passes straight through its centre.
Within the area immediately to the east is a single linear feature and a possible second ring ditch, although very faint. This area is findspot NHER 31236.
M. Brennand (NLA), 1 September 2001.
November 2008. NBIC Northeast Norwich Scoring Project.
This possible ring ditch is in close proximity to several other possible ring ditches and prehistoric mounments (see NHER 12786, NHER 31742, NHER 36750) as well as a possible Neolithic causewayed enclosure (NHER 7690).
There is an area of more closely grouped ring ditches located southeast of RAF Coltishall. This group includes NHER 5788, NHER 5789, NHER 36338, NHER 36339, NHER 36346, NHER 36473, NHER 36725, NHER 36726, NHER 36727, NHER 36728, and outlying NHER 11672.
H. Hamilton (NLA), 20 November 2008.
August 2012.
The linear referred to above is now recorded under NHER 57987. The faint second ring ditch mentioned above was not included within the mapping, due to uncertainty over its archaeological origin.
S. Horlock (HES), 30 August 2012.
