Summary

Metal-detecting and fieldwalking at this location between 2001 and 2021 recovered prehistoric worked flints; Roman, Roman or Late Saxon and ?medieval pottery sherds; post-medieval roof tiles; a Roman coin and a number of other, undated, Roman and medieval metal objects. These metal finds including an undated lead pot mend; a Roman brooch and finger ring; medieval buckles, a bar mount and copper alloy rivet and a post-medieval button and thimble.

1 Roman coin.
Medieval gilt buckles and a rivet.
Undated lead pot mend.

March-April 2008. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection (Field 4).
Finds recovered included:
1 prehistoric flint piercer and 2 blades.
2 Roman pottery sherds.
1 Roman or Late Saxon pottery sherd.
1 ?medieval pottery sherd.
1 post-medieval pantile, 2 roof tiles, 1 copper alloy button and 1 thimble.
1 undatable copper alloy rod fragment, 1 copper alloy unidentified object and 1 lead washer.
