Summary

Metal-detecting between 2001 and 2021 recovered a Neolithic/Bronze Age flint flake; Roman and medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins (including two Roman coins that are stuck together and thus represent either a purse loss or part of a dispersed hoard); a post-medieval jetton; a post-medieval token and a range of other, undatable and Late Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an undatable lead bead; a Late Iron Age sword pommel; a Late Iron Age to Early Saxon penannular brooch; a Roman copper alloy coin blank and lead steelyard weights; medieval copper alloy and lead seal matrices; medieval/post-medieval lead weights and post-medieval dress accessories, a harness mount, harness fitting and lead bird feeder or water trough fragment.
