Summary

Metal-detecting in 2001 recovered a medieval strap end and terminal. Around the same time a number of potentially prehistoric burnt flints were recovered during the excavation of a cable trench.

June-July 2001. Watching Brief. Extended to whole field [1].
Observation of trench dug for new electricity cable running between Bacton and North Walsham (Field 30).
No archaeologically significant features or deposits observed.
Unstratified finds recovered included:
8 ?prehistoric burnt flints.
