Summary

Between 2001 and 2021 a fieldwalker found nine prehistoric worked flints amongst the Bronze Age peat beds on Holme Beach. Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age Beaker and Iron Age pottery sherds were also recovered. The peat beds are located within a sensitive and fragile National Nature Reserve, Site of Special Scientific Interest and Natura 2000 site. Holme Beach should be visited with great care not to disturb nesting or wintering birds.

3 undatable pieces of fired clay plus fragments of animal bone and charcoal.
7 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age rusticated Beaker pottery sherds.
11 Iron Age pottery sherds.
