Map

19 July 1996. NLA air photography.
Cropmarks visible to the south and east of Ash Tree farm.
To the southwest is a single ring ditch, probably prehistoric. To the immediate east is a large rectangular enclosure with faint traces of internal features. There are multiple indistinct cropmarks to the west of the enclosure. There are linear ditches extending from the southwest and northeast corners of the enclosure. To the immediate north are a series of large dark cropmarks that may be pits or sunken featured buildings. To the east of these is a second sub rectangular enclosure with a circular feature within its confines. This enclosure appears to have an entrance on its western side. The remaining linear features in the field are likely to be field boundaries.
M. Brennand (NLA), 9 May 2001.
