Location

Civil Parish CORPUSTY AND SAXTHORPE, NORTH NORFOLK, NORFOLK

Map

25 June 1996. NLA air photography.
Cropmarks of several linear features are visible.
2 of these linears may form part of some form of rectilinear enclosure, but only parts of the 2 sides can be seen, so this is not certain. These linears centre on NGR TG 1190 3018, and there is a gap between them which could be an entranceway. In addition to this there is a possible ring ditch showing as a cropmark, just to the north of these linears at TG 1189 3019. A further possible ring ditch is visible in the field to the southwest (TG 1174 3009).
Neither of these possible ring ditches are very clear (or definite), in part due to the underlying geology.
H. Clare (NLA), 3 September 2001.
