Summary

This is the site of an undated rectangular enclosure, visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. Trial trenching in March and April 2010 revealed a brick well which was probably contemporary with the former house on this site and a post-medieval or modern linear feature of unknown function.

Single ditched enclosure visible with rounded southern end.
Certainly appears to be archaeological, but date unknown.
A single linear feature passing through the enclosure is probably not contemporary with it.

March/April 2010. Trail trenching.
Trial trenching in March and April 2010 revealed a brick well which was probably contemporary with the former house that stood on this site which was approximately 100 years old and a post-medieval or modern linear feature of unknown function. No further archaeological remains were present and there was no evidence relating to possible Roman features identified previously from aerial photographs to the south of the site.
