Summary

Metal-detecting between 2001 and 2013 recovered a prehistoric flint flake; Iron Age and Late Saxon to post-medieval pottery sherds; medieval roof tile fragments; Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins and Roman and Middle Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman brooch and finger-ring, Middle/Late Saxon strap-ends and a hooked tag; Middle Saxon and Late Saxon brooches and hooked tags; Late Saxon Thor's hammer pendants and weights; a Late Saxon/medieval zoomorphic stirrup terminal; medieval and post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval reliquary, spindle whorl, furniture fitting, harness fitting, pendant and a rim sherd from a chafing dish; medieval/post-medieval lead stopper and weights and a post-medieval bell, spatula and furniture fitting.
