Summary

A probable medieval saltern is visible as an earthwork and cropmark on 1944 and 1948 aerial photographs. It is one of a number in this area and seems to be overlain by a later sea bank.

1944 and 1948. RAF air photography.
A probable medieval saltern is visible as an earthwork at TF 6458 2808 southwest of Wolferton.
The mound seems to be partially overlain by a later sea bank.
The mound is one of a number in this area.
