1944 and 1948. RAF air photography.
A sea bank is visible as earthworks and soilmarks north of North Wootton, extending from TF 6436 2544 northwards to TF 6440 2639, then east to TF 6571 2604 and S to TF 6577 2568, where it apparently forks east and west (to TF 6624 2539 and TF 6521 2544 respectively).
The bank is apparently recorded on a map of 1588. (S1).
The forked section may actually represent an earlier bank, and overlays ridge and furrow, however, it is not clear if the bank is medieval or post medieval.
