Summary

Although much altered, this house originated as a 17th century timber framed dwelling, which was then heightened and had a chimney stack inserted. A rear wing was added later, and the whole building much altered and clad in brick in about 1800. The main façade may be an even later addition.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"17th/18th century house encased in gault brick. Hipped slate roof. Two storeys, Three bays. Central two storeyed porch with hipped roof and doorcase with roundels at corners and fielded panel door. Sashes with glazing bars. Brick chimney stack off centre. Long wing at rear forming L-shaped plan."

Februray 2002. Field Observation.
Timber framed house of pre late 17th century date, into which, at that period, a stack was inserted and the building heightened. Rear wing of uncertain date. Whole much altered in brick in about 1800, with main façade perhaps even later.
