Location

Civil Parish HILGAY, WEST NORFOLK, NORFOLK

Map

Mortar spigot, in poor condition, set in top of flood bank by road.
To south, concrete three sided step projects from bank towards river, five paces long, two setback sides of two paces, as is a buried type 24 pillbox; but if dimensions are projected it would seem to go under road.
Local people vary in their memories saying this was:
a) not a pillbox
b) yes it was
c) there were two here.
What, if any, confusion there is with NHER 32681 is not clear.
