Summary

A complete, apparently medieval pottery bowl was found in a field in 2000. It is very unusual to find anything more than fragments from this period.

Found in potato field:
1 medieval complete pottery vessel. Fabric is shell-tempered rather than micaceous.
Information via Jewry Wall Museum. See description, drawing (S2) and photographs (S3) in file.
It is not known how this complete vessel was recovered from an arable field.
