Full Description
2000-2002. Woodland Earthwork Rapid Identification Survey.
Management Unit Z, Site 179:
World War Two searchlight battery/gun emplacement visible as earthworks.
See report (S1) for further details.
D. Gurney (NLA), 12 March 2002. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 13 May 2015.
November 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The earthworks for housing gun emplacements are visible on aerial photographs and have been recorded as part of a wider military training area under NHER 53456. They are not thought to have been searchlight batteries, rather a training site for digging anti aircraft batteries. This military training area is likely to have continued to the north (NHER 54513).
E. Bales (NMP), 04 Nov 2010.
