Summary

The Elms is a timber framed house with 19th century alterations which was damaged by fire in 2002. The former gable wall with evidence of an attic window is now an internal wall, probably belonging to a house of around 1600. The present stack was inserted behind it, and the building was extended and probably reduced at the other end around 1700.

Listing Description Excerpt:
"17th century. Stuccoed front, brick ends. Steep thatched roof with gabled ends. Two storeys and attic (attic windows in gable ends). Three windows, three-light casements. Central brick chimney stack. Short gabled wing at rear (north)."
