Summary

Archaeological evaluations here in 2002 recorded a few features of minor archaeological interest. These consisted of a small patch of burnt material and a possibly associated unstratified fragment of Early Saxon or Middle Saxon pottery.

April 2002. Trial Trenching.
Excavation of four trial trenches on site of proposed housing development (Site S1).
One of the trenches contained features of minor archaeological interest consisting of a small patch of burnt material and a possibly associated unstratified fragment of Early Saxon or Middle Saxon pottery.
