Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 2002-06 recovered a variety of objects. Finds included prehistoric worked flints, a Neolithic flint scraper, an Iron Age brooch, a Roman finger ring, an Early Saxon brooch, medieval and post medieval metalwork and coins. Sherds of Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery have also been found on site.
